Our newborn photography sessions usually take place within the first 10 days following baby’s birth. I limit the amount of newborn sessions I accept each month to ensure that each client gets the highest quality of work. It is advisable to book early to avoid missing out. Clients usually book their newborn photography session when they are around 16-20 weeks into their pregnancy to ensure that they secure a booking! Your newborn photography session will be booked based on your due date. Once baby is born, we then confirm a suitable date that suits you. If your baby has already been born, please don’t worry! We will do our very best to accommodate you!
Should you miss the “two week” time frame for any reason, please don’t worry! We can still capture beautiful images of your older newborn. Our Older Newborn Sessions are focused on the newborn poses that are suitable for babies that are between 3 to 8 weeks old.
Newborn photography sessions are very relaxed and laid back! We understand that you are tired and sleep deprived so it is important to us that you are relaxed and we take care of everything for you to make your experience a memorable one. Lie back, sip on a coffee and watch your adorable newborn baby being photographed, creating a legacy to be appreciated by many generations to come. Clients have often asked, ” Do we have to go home?” before they leave or “Can you come home with us?”
We have an extensive range of wraps, knitted hats, headbands, little outfits and hand-crafted toys available to uniquely style your newborn photography session. Clients can come in with just their brand new baby, and choose from hundreds of items. We also have different clothing options for new Mums to wear during your newborn photography session.
We have a wide range of accessories for newborn baby girls, headbands, flowers, little lace outfits and delicate wraps. We adore little boys and have an extensive selection of knitted hats, wraps, outfits, and every basket, bucket, and bed you can imagine! Sibling toddlers can also be catered for, with a selection of little girls dresses to match the tone of your newborn photography session. We usually suggest toddler boys and Dads wear clothing in solid, simple, light colours to complement our collections.
We just love newborns!, so much so, that we get very excited when twins come into the studio! Whilst we understand the arrival of twins can be overwhelming, we still urge parents to come in early if possible. Premature twins are usually photographed between 2-3 weeks of age, while full-term twin babies can still be photographed as early as 10 days. Newborn twin sessions may take a little longer than typical newborn sessions. We have ample matching wraps, blankets and props to suit twins. Little hand-knitted multiple hats and twin outfits are also available to use during your twin newborn session.
We know you may have loads of questions, but no need to worry!, We will of course go over all of the above information in detail when you call to schedule or enquire. As with all of our newborn photography sessions, parents and siblings are always welcome to be included.
Once you have booked your newborn photography session you will receive an email with all the information detailing everything about your session. We will schedule in your pre-session consultation closer to your newborn photography session to go over the finer details and answer any questions you might have. You will then receive a further email detailing everything we have discussed as we understand that there may be a lot to take in at such an exciting time in your new family’s life! The pre-session consultation is an essential part of your newborn photography process!
