When should I book my Newborn Photography Session?

Newborns are best photographed under two weeks of age, ideally around day 8,9 or 10. So it is always advisable to book in while you are still pregnant as we only take limited newborn sessions as a result they do book up extremely quickly!

Should you miss the “two week” time frame for any reason, please don’t worry! We can still capture beautiful images of your older newborn. Our Older Newborn Sessions are focused on the newborn poses that are suitable for babies that are between 3 to 8 weeks old.

What will my baby wear during their Newborn Photography Session?

We have an extensive range of wraps, knitted hats, headbands, little outfits and hand-crafted toys available to uniquely style your newborn photography session. Clients can come in with just their brand new baby, and choose from hundreds of items. We also have different clothing options for new Mums to wear during your newborn photography session.

How long will my Newborn Photography Session take?

A session will usually take about 2-4 hours for a newborn session. It all depends on how settled your baby is on the day and how many feeds they need to settle them into a nice relaxed sleep.

Can my family be included in the newborn session?

Of course family can be included in our our most popular premium packages, in-fact we encourage the family (Mum, Dad & Siblings) to hop in and have some portraits taken towards the end of the session. The main focus of your newborn session will be primarily on your baby.
