All about your "Tummy Time" Baby Photography Session

“Tummy Time” Baby Photography Sessions are typically scheduled between 3-5 months of age. This session is very popular with parents that have unfortunately missed out on their Newborn Photography Session, celebrating their baby’s “Hundred Days” or as part of their “Baby’s First Year” package.

3-5 months old babies are so much more alert and responsive as they get older. They react to expressions and smile so easily at this stage. They can lie on their tummies and support their heads comfortably. I like to photograph your baby on their back for the first part of the session. We lie baby down on a soft fluffy flokati with textured blankets to ensure they are comfortable and happy. As babies of this age are responsive to sounds, it’s easy to get them to look directly at the camera. Shaking a toy in front of them often evokes adorable expressions and priceless smiles.

We have a wide range of fluffy flokati rugs in different shades and colours and soft textured blankets to lay your baby on for their “tummy time” Baby Photography Session. We also have a range of clothing, hats and headbands for your baby to use during their “tummy time” baby photography session.

“Tummy time” sessions take place during such a beautiful time in your baby’s first year. Your baby is becoming more aware  and interested in what’s going on in the world around them!

The “Tummy Time” Baby Photography Session usually takes place when your baby is around 3-5 months old, depending on their development. All babies develop at different stages during their first year.
